The development includes two six‑storey wood‑frame buildings providing below‑market rental housing for staff and faculty, alongside an 18‑storey concrete high‑rise offering 221 market rental units.
Faculty, Staff & Market Rental Housing Hub at UBC
The project features a three‑level underground parking garage with vehicle and bike storage and a 5,600 sq ft childcare facility. Designed by DYS Architecture and approved in July 2022, BCR6 fits within UBC’s Housing Action Plan and Campus Vision 2050. Offering studios to four‑bedroom suites, communal amenities, and connectivity to Wesbrook Village and future Research Park, this project advances purpose‑built rental housing, affordability, and campus sustainability initiatives at UBC.
