Brock Commons Phase 2 is a pioneering 18-storey mixed-use student residence and academic facility located on Walter Gage Road at UBC Vancouver. Encompassing over 327,000 sq. ft., it delivers 404 student beds through a mix of studios and shared four-bedroom suites, each with fully integrated kitchens.
Mass Timber Innovation Meets Student-Centered Design at UBC
Designed to foster a vibrant student community, the building integrates academic offices, classroom space, a legal clinic, wellness services, multi-faith and multi-purpose rooms, food outlets, daycare centers, and informal study areas. As a beacon of mass timber innovation and sustainable design, Brock Commons highlights UBC’s leadership in future-forward construction. It serves as a central hub for student life, accessibility, and inclusive campus services—all while setting new standards for institutional development in Western Canada.
